Who We Are
SPAN International was founded by social activists who believed that social change requires a movement and developmental programs. By addressing human rights and agricultural issues, they brought various social activities together. True development demands the active participation of all people, regardless of caste, creed, religion, or gender. Despite numerous efforts and subsidies over five decades, conditions have not improved significantly. The region still faces widespread illiteracy, ignorance, superstition, poverty, economic and cultural backwardness, rapid migration, oppression of women, child abuse, and exploitation of laborers by middlemen.
